There’s a flower called an Evening Primrose that blooms every night at sunset. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen them, but they’re spectacular to watch– each one blooms in about 15 minutes. You can actually see the petals move with your bare eye. Very slowly, but it’s pretty exciting to see the time move.

Our main character for this film, Franklin, feels stuck in a rut, and at one point in the movie mentions that he thinks about Evening Primroses and wishes he could see his own life moving like that.  Patrick was good enough to visit my parents’ house with his still camera and take some timelapses of these beautiful flowers for the film. I put one of them together in After Effects and I just had to show you guys.
