The independent film “Cement Suitcase” launched its Facebook page last week and is up to 83 likes already. We’d like to increase that tenfold.

The page contains exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and multiple daily updates on the progress of the film. To see more, click here.

In case you’ve ever wondered, shooting a movie is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! Long hours, complicated lighting/sound/camera work, unpredictable “challenges” … That is my politically correct way of saying we get a full suitcase of new problems each and every day. Well, looking on the bright side, our Assistant Director John Ross does NOT nee…d stitches, we have NOT needed to use any petty cash for bail money, and we have NOT had any confirmed cases of heat stroke…YET!

My favorite part of this whole adventure so far is seeing my brother Rick’s enthusiasm … about the project and the story and the results and the people. In particular, Rick has been positively gleeful that his whimsy has come to fruition … his CARTHENGE (Stonehenge built out of shopping carts in the Zillah Food Center parking lot) has been built, admired, and preserved for posterity in his film.

Rick, I’m proud of you for having the guts to move forward and follow your dream.
